2016 Jaguar XF Lighter Thanks To Aluminum

The 2016 Jaguar XF made its grand debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show with an innovative lighter body due to aluminum construction.

Future Jaguar models will make use of the same lightweight aluminum materials. A few changes have been made for the 2016 Jaguar XF including a sleeker profile and a few new lines on the front accentuating the stylish LED lights. With its new profile the XF offers the same sportiness of a coupe. Additional changes for the 2016 edition include a longer wheelbase, improved aerodynamics and a more vertical front and designed to improve airflow. Buyers have the option of selecting from rear and all-wheel drive.

Due to the new aluminum construction, the new Jaguar XFĀ  will weigh two engine 265 pounds less compared to the 2015 model. The aluminum design utilizes high-strength steel and magnesium alloys. The passenger cabin is supported by boron steel b- pillars.

The 2016 Jaguar XF is equipped with a V6 3 L engine; consumers have the option of choosing from an engineĀ with 340 hp or one boasting an impressive 380 hp.

The interior features a large number of available options including electric power assisted steering and an adaptive dynamics system which can control the velocity infrequency in which a damper piston is moving at.

The cabin is elegant with an instrument panel decked out by veneers and aluminum trim. Leather appointed Windsor seats are in place for maximum comfort. High tech features include an Intelligent Speed Limiter which automatically adjusts the car’s speed to match the legal limit.
